    Gas safety engineering in the welding and cutting sector

    The welding and cutting sector is part of the conventional application areas of gas safety engineering.

    Autogenous welding and cutting may generate hazardous fuel gas mixtures such as acetylene, propane, butane, and hydrogen, city gas, grid gas and natural gas with oxygen or compressed air. Appropriate safety equipment prevents the generation of hazardous mixtures and stops flashbacks.

    Safety devices and gas hose couplings are utilized on single cylinders, tapping points or consumer equipment such as welding and cutting burners or cutting machines.

    Autogenous welding and cutting is used mainly during the assembly and installation in a variety of industrial and technical areas such as mechanical engineering, aircraft industry, shipbuilding, construction industry and the energy sector.

    Autogenous welding and cutting uses mainly fuel gases

    ...such as acetylene, propane, butane and hydrogen in combination with oxygen, compressed air or atmospheric air from gas cylinders or gas cylinder bundles. IBEDA offers central gas supply systems and tapping points for individual requirements. Gas supply systems and tapping points can be supplied complete with the respective safety devices and hose couplings. Mobile gas manifolds that are equipped with tapping point pressure gauges and safety equipment bring our product range to a complete circle.

    Shielding gas made from argon (Ar) and carbon dioxide (CO₂) or mixtures for laser cutting systems made from nitrogen (N₂) and oxygen (O₂)

    IBEDA gas mixers are used in the production of mixed gases for protective gas welding and covers the most frequently used gas mixtures for the MIG, MAG, TIG welding. Due to the mixing principle, the IBEDA gas mixers also ensure a constant gas mixture without buffer vessel even if the volume of gas withdrawal changes.

    IBEDA offers a comprehensive range of heating burners for the welding and cutting sector.

    Depending on the requirements, ring burners and swivel-ring burners as well as lane burners and swivel ribbon burners can be adjusted to meet the customer's requirements. The heating burners can be adapted to comply with the welding task and can be utilized regardless of location. Swivel ribbon burners are extremely customizable.

    For the heating of workpieces prior to the welding and cutting process, IBEDA provides a variety of ring burners, swivel ribbon burners and lane burners, and for nearly any design the user requires. The design of the heating burners can be adjusted to meet any customer specifications.
