    Gas safety engineering in the steel industry

    Any time steel is deformed or processed, it is also heated up, annealed or welded.

    These processes require heating burners and welding burners that must be secured using safety devices (flashback arrestors or single cylinder arrestor).     The uninterrupted availability of gases must be ensured in order to prevent a production shutdown. Efficiently designed gas manifold systems and tapping point units, equipped with all necessary safety devices (decomposition arrestors, quick-action shut-off devices) guarantee the required amount of gases. Monitoring devices such as 'Empty' display alarms indicate early when a cylinder or bundles must be changed over.

    IBEDA pressure control stations are BAM-certified (German Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing) and comply with the highest demands for quality.

    Heating burners for the steel industry

    IBEDA heating burners are used in the steel industry in multifaceted applications.

    Heating and pre-heating burners can be provided in a multitude of designs as ring burners, lane burners, swivel ribbon burners, or lance burners. IBEDA heating burners are extremely flexible and can be adapted to meet the requirements of the industry.

    Fuel gases such as acetylene, propane, and natural gas in combination with oxygen, compressed air or ambient intake air can be used to operate the pre-heating burners. When using the Eco-Ven air injector with pre-heating burners that are operated with compressed air, the consumption of compressed air can be reduced by more than 75%.
